Blue Circle® General Purpose Cement complies with AS 3972, type GP. GP Cement is manufactured from Portland cement clinker and gypsum and up to 5 percent of AS 3972 approved additions. This cement was previously known as Type “A” cement and has been widely used for many years. A general purpose Portland cement conforming to AS 3972 for type GP cement. General Purpose Cement is a cost effective, high quality building material providing versatility suited to most building and construction applications, except where special properties are required. Typical applications include: Concrete slabs Driveways Mortars for brick and block work Grouts Adhesives Stabilisation where chemical attack is not a predicted risk
